Peach Cobbler

1/2 cup butter
1 cup all purpose flour*
1 cup sugar
2 teas baking powder
1/2 teas salt
3/4 cup milk
1 large can sliced peaches, drained

Melt butter in 8 or 9 inch pan in the oven. Mix next five ingredients together and pour over butter. Place peach slices on top. Bake 350 for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

* If using self-rising flour, omit salt and baking powder.
